You can access your Workspace Billing under Settings. Here, you can add and manage your payment method, select your auto credit top-up amount, enter your billing details, view historical charges, and download invoices.
Note: SiteStory utilises Stripe for all billing purposes. We do not store any of your payment details, including credit card details, on our platform directly.
What you will find in this guide:
Billing in SiteStory is usage-based. You purchase credits up front, and these are consumed as Stories are uploaded to your Workspace. We use auto credit top-ups, so your account will automatically top up your credits when they are less than 10.
One credit is consumed for every 5 minutes of uploaded story.
Examples:
A Story of 3 minutes will consume 1 credit.
A Story of 12 minutes will consume 3 credits.
There are no other charges when using SiteStory.
You can see how many credits are available in your Workspace in the Credits counter in the top right corner of your Workspace and under the Billing tab in Workspace Settings.
After sign-up or when creating a new Workspace, a banner will display in your SiteStory Workspace instructing you to add a payment method.
Important: You must add a payment method to your SiteStory Workspace to upload Stories.
Navigate to your Workspace Billing to add a payment method. You can access this by either:
Clicking the "Add Payment Method" button in the banner.
By navigating to Settings -> Billing tab.
Note: You must have an "Admin" role to access the Workspace settings.
2. Click the "Access Billing Portal". This will open the SiteStory billing portal in a separate browser tab.
3. In the billing portal, you will:
Add a payment method. This will be your credit card.
Update your Billing Information. These will be your billing address details, including the email address to which you would like to receive invoices.
4. Once you have added your payment method and billing details, return to the browser tab where you have SiteStory open and refresh the page. You will then see your payment method and billing address populated.
SiteStory uses automatic credit top-ups.
The default top-up amount is 100 credits.
After you have added a payment method to a new Workspace, the first automatic credit top-up charge is triggered once you upload your first Story to your Workspace.
After the first top-up, your payment method will be automatically charged for top-up credits when your credit count is less than 10, and the credits will be added to your available Credit Balance immediately.
You can select to top-up your Workspace with 100, 500 or 1,000 credits at a time.
Credits are pre-paid and currently do not have an expiration date.
You can see your transaction and invoice history under your Billing details and by accessing the Billing Portal.
Under the Invoice History in SiteStory you can:
See the invoice date
Invoice number
Credits purchased
Status
Download a PDF copy of your invoice.
Note: Invoices are automatically sent to the billing email address that you enter in the SiteStory Billing Portal as well.
