SiteStory is a "Traffio approved" third-party integration allowing you to integrate SiteStory and Traffio easily.
The SiteStory to Traffio integration supports read and write features to pull Traffio Bookings into SiteStory automatically, add Members to Sites, and push Story links (public and private) back to your Booking in Traffio.
You will first need to create your Access Token via the "Integrations" module in your Traffio account. See the SiteStory Integration article in the Traffio Help Centre to learn how to generate your Access Token.
You will need to be an Administrator to access the Integrations module.
Once you have generated your Traffio Access Token, you are ready to activate your integration with SiteStory.
Navigate to Settings -> Integrations
2. Click the Add Integration button.
3. Select "Traffio" in the add integrations dialogue.
4. Paste your Traffio Access Token into the API Key text field.
SiteStory will run a check to validate the API Key (Access Token) after you paste it into the field. You will see an orange spinner next to the text field as this process runs, and the text field will display a green border once the API key has been validated successfully.
If you see a red border, it means the validation failed. Delete the API key and re-paste it into the field, making sure that you have pasted the entire API key. If you still experience an issue, raise a Support Ticket with us, and we will assist you.
5. Click Next to progress to the integration configuration step.
Here, you can select how you wish to sync your Users in Traffio with SiteStory and apply filters to the integration to determine which Bookings are synced with SiteStory.
Site Members: There are three methods available.
Existing - Auto Add Existing Members - This is the default option. SiteStory will automatically assign Members to Sites if they are assigned to the Booking pulled in from your Traffio Account, and there is an existing Member (user account) for the People in SiteStory with a matching email address.
Manual - I will manually add Members - If you select this method, you will be required to assign Members to Sites in SiteStory manually.
Auto - Create Members & Add to Site - If you select this method, SiteStory will create Members in SiteStory and assign them to Sites automatically if they exist on the Booking pulled in from your Traffio Account.
Important: The email address for the Traffio person assigned to a Booking must match the email address of a SiteStory user account for a Member to be successfully assigned automatically to a Site.
Filters: You can apply filters to your Traffio integration to filter which Bookings from your Traffio account are created as Sites in SiteStory automatically. You can filter by:
Tags
Depots
Projects
Clients
Click into a filter field to load a list of available IDs of that type from your Traffio account.
Tip: You can add multiple filters of a single type by separating the IDs in the field with a comma. E.g. if you want to apply a filter for Depots and wish to pull in Bookings from Traffio for two Depots, you will input them as "5365,7657" in the Depot IDs field.
6. Once you have finalised your configuration, click the Create button to activate your Traffio integration.
Once the integration setup is complete, you will see it as an active integration under your Workspace Settings->Integration tab, along with the last sync date/time.
Note: SiteStory will automatically complete a first sync with Traffio Bookings immediately after you activate the integration and then every 15 minutes thereafter.
SiteStory automatically calls Traffio every 15 minutes to request any new or modified Bookings.
If Traffio responds with new or modified Bookings, these will automatically be added/updated in your SiteStory Workspace.
People assigned to the Booking in Traffio will be automatically added as Members to the Site in SiteStory ONLY if they have an active user account for SiteStory.
Important: The email address for the Traffio person assigned to a Booking must match the email address of a SiteStory user account for a Member to be successfully added automatically to the Site.
See the Adding & Managing Members article to learn more about Member access.
SiteStory automatically posts a private Story link to the Booking in Traffio when the Story is uploaded to the Site in SiteStory.
The private Story links are available in Traffio under the Booking details, Stories tab.
The private Story link allows you to jump straight to that Story in your SiteStory Workspace, where you can review the Story and create a share link.
The share link (public link) for a Story is automatically posted to the Booking in Traffio when generated for the Story and is available under the Booking details, Stories tab.
Note: All Booking Stories can also be accessed under the Booking Stories tab when in the Traffio Booking module.
SiteStory is built for integration. If you do not use Traffio but would like to integrate a different job management or scheduling system, please get in contact with us.
